Welcome, adventurer. You stand at the entrance to the Archive — seven thousand chambers, each containing a frozen world from the early digital age. The Oregon Trail stretches west. Sierra's mountains rise in the distance. The SCUMM engine hums beneath the floorboards.

Gary Gygax wrote the rules in 1974. Roberta Williams drew the first map in 1980. Don Rawitsch coded the first trail in 1971. They all built the same thing: a world you enter by choosing.

Choose a game. Chip will scan it. Ed will sing about it. gAIa remembers the geology. And I... I keep notes. ??

Roll for initiative. (Or just click a card.)

?? Ed (Bard):
*strums lute*

?? "The DM said 'you see a door' in nineteen seventy-four,
The parser said 'I understand' in nineteen eighty more,
The trail said 'you have died' in every school across the floor,
And forty years of games later, we're back to 'roll for initiative' once more."
